What is life likein China? China is changing at a remarkable rate but the countryside, where the majority of Chinas 1.3 billion citizens live, remains much the same as it has for centuries. This documentary, shot entirely on location in China, offers a window on life in rural village, capturing in compelling detail the daily life of a Chinese family.

Comments about One Day in Ping Wei - A Documentary of China - DVD:

I am a homeschool mom and bought this dvd to watch with my children because we are learning about China. It is an interesting look at what life is like for the majority of people in China, those who live in rural areas. It even kept the interest of my four-year-old! Very informative and well done.

Amazing that Pei Wang and China allowed these DVDs
By American Grandmother of a Chinese GranddaughterVerified Purchaser from Monrovia, CA on 2/11/2008

Comments about One Day in Ping Wei - A Documentary of China - DVD:

A Day in Pei Wang shows life in a small village in a northern province. I found the making of tufu quite interesting. The elemetary school should give us in a America (or other first world country) a reason to be grateful for the school facilities we have. It should also give thought to the fact that students can learn a lot with a desk, blackboard, books & a teacher.
