These little stories are easy to read, easy to understand, and make the vocabulary stick! You can use the books as a springboard for other ideas to include the words. For example, one book may be on Nationalities. Then you could make your own flashcards and draw or paste pictures of the flags on the cards. Likewise for fruit etc. Great purchase. Nice carrying case too.

This package is well designed both in contents and illustrations. My three-year-old loved the books immediately and almost recognized half of the book titles the second day. The books are designed by themes, and in sentences, which makes it great for learning. I am going to use it for my Chinese teaching too for Kindergarten kids.

This is the text my daughter uses in her immersion program. It is one of the few "easy readers" that is at the right level for kindergarteners. It builds on previously learned vocabulary and is bright, colorful and engaging.

I got this set for my son to read and learn in Mandarin. He is enjoying the set and enthusiastically follows along. It is age appropriate for 5 year old, has repetition and pictures to make the text predictable so he can read along and understand, and covers a wide range of topics. It's a great set for the beginning Chinese learner.
