As a child, I　loved the story of Monkey King. I remember that growing up he was my role-model (I was a very awkward child) and that I would run around the house leaping from sofa to bed to table with a glass bowl filled with fruit. Anyways, the other day I saw the cover to this book and I couldn't help but read it. From page to page I went, until I reached the end. Not only did I read the Chinese version, I read the English translation. This is a superb book, it does an excellent job retelling the tales that my parents told me as a child. I treasure this book. In addition, I bought this book as a present for my friend's eight year old daughter. She loved it so much that her mother started enrolling her in Chinese lessons. Although she was disappointed that the lessons were in simplified Chinese, she still enjoys them. The point is, that this is a great book, a classic retelling of a classic.

I've been looking for the Monkey King story for my son for a long time, was hoping to find one just like this with both English and Chinese. I was very impressed about the quality and illustration in this book.
My son loves it!

All chinese children in Asia are familiar with this story. This book is good to have. Illustrations are excellent.

The story is just the same as what I remembered. The only thing is that it's a little bit long for my daughter who is 5 years old.

Book 3 on Monkey that follows the journey of Monkey and his friends. Great illustrations and text. The Chinese and English are excellent!
